Day 1 Quito

Upon arrival our representative will meet and escort you to the hotel. Balance of day at leisure.

Day 2 Quito - Cotopaxi

Breakfast. This morning you will have an early transport to La Cienega Hacienda in Cotopaxi province, famous for its historical value as an independence movement hideaway. Check In. On the afternoon visit to the Cotopaxi National Park, site of the highest active volcano in the world. Late afternoon transfer back to La Cienega Hacienda. (B)

Day 3 Cotopaxi - Baños

Breakfast served in the Hacienda, and then you will be transported to Baños through a beautiful Andean landscape. You will be lodged at Luna Runtun Spa and Resort, a breathtaking Spa overlooking Baños and the famous Tungurahua Volcano. Check In. You will have the rest of the day free to enjoy from the Spa and its luxuries. Dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Day 4 Baños - Riobamba

Breakfast. Then you will be taken to Pailón Del Diablo, a famous waterfall nearby Baños. After the visit you will return to the town of Baños where you will have 2 hours to do some shopping. Pick up and transport to Hosteria Andaluza (2 hours) on the foot of the highest mountain in Ecuador, the Chimborazo. Check in. Dinner included at the Hosteria. (B, D)

Day 5 Riobamba - Quito

Early breakfast 5:15 AM and check out from the Hosteria. Transfer to Riobamba train station for the famous Devil’s Nose ride. This tour, famous for its 90 degree turns through beautiful Andean landscape, will take about the whole morning. Arrival back in Alausi or Riobamba and transfer back to Quito and to the Sheraton. (4 hours) Check in. (B)

Day 6 Quito

Breakfast. This morning you will head north to the Imbabura Province, famous for its beautiful lakes, mountains and crafting Indian towns. First stop will be in Otavalo, the largest Indian market in Latin America (busiest on Saturdays and Sundays). After two hours of shopping you will then be transported to Cuicocha, a famous lake created after a volcanic eruption and sitting atop of a volcanic crater. After the visit you will then stop at the town of Cotacachi, famous for its leather crafts. 1 ½ hour shopping time. Transfer back to Quito. (B, L)

Day 7Quito

Breakfast. Then you will conclude your visit with the jewel of Ecuador, Quito. You will pass through the Congress, visit the Independence and San Francisco Plaza’s sites. The visit will include tours inside the famous la Compañia de Jesus Church (Baroque) and the San Francisco Convent and Church. You will then head north trough the highway with amazing views of volcanoes and mountains to the Middle of the World Monument. Here you will enjoy from having one foot on the northern hemisphere and the other on the southern. Also, you will have a visit to the Ethnographic museum inside the building. Return to the Hotel. (B)

Day 8 Quito - Home

Breakfast. Our representative will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport at the indicated time for your flight back home.(B)
